This # called my Google Voice # today and got "screened" by Google Voice (any # not in my phonebook gets call screened - where they have to state their name - then I can either accept or reject the call to voicemail) and they hung up. Any missed call where someone does not leave a message I NEVER Call Back !!!
Google Voice also lets you add the # to your phonebook and mark it so that it will be rejected in the future with the 'disconnected # tones' and the message "this # is no longer in service". To call you again they would have to call from a different #.
When I answered the phone the caller asked for someone I'd never heard of. When I told him that he had a wrong number, he said, "Oh, I'm sorry ... but, perhaps you might be interested in a new insurance plan we're offering ... " I just hung up.
Two days in a row I missed a call from this number (my phone didn't ring). The voice mail was part of a recorded message (press 2 to continue). Trying to call that number got me an error message from my provider saying that I could not connect to that number from my phone.
One other note: my number has been on the Do Not Call List for over 5 years.
Called my cell about a magazine subscription and I hung up.
I tried calling this number back and a strange thing happened. There was no ringing tone feedback to my phone like there are with any other calls I try to make. I waited for over 1 minute and still no phone sound telling me that the number was ringing through, so it looks like they don't accept calls back on that number.
Please file an electronic complaint form with the FCC
I did and it stopped a repeat telemarker from calling my "Do Not Call" phone number.
CID showed the telephone number and San Diego, CA. Called occurred on 05/22/2013 at 10:19 AM. These are robo dialed calls. Again I was told that I had been contacted to do a survey and "we will call back later."
When I answered this call, it was an automated male voice stating that he represents a magazine to which I currently subscribe and to press 1 if I wanted to continue my subscription. Something about "gardens" magazine. I pushed and held down 0 and was disconnected. When I called back, an automated voice said "you were called for a survey. Good by."
