Just got a call claiming they were doing a survey for some government agency. They said they would pay 10 dollars and I said no thanks. If they call back I might mess with them. Why not, right...
Got a call saying CDC has authorized these studies and she needed to speak to the 2nd oldest male in the house. Well my 19 year old was NOT going to talk to someone about anything. She got ugly and said she'll call back.
I am going to answer this call next time. They call every single night around 7-8. I am going to mess with them and act like I'm cookie monster.
Called me and said he was surveying people in California (I have a CA area code), and that participants would get $10 for their time. He asked me if I was over 18 and a resident of CA; I told him, "This sounds like a scam, so I'm hanging up," and did.
This number called my cell phone several times and claimed to be taking a survey from Minnesota University's health department or something like that. I told them to call back at an earlier time. They continue calling at night. Now I see that they're a scammer.
Have called twice claiming to be taking a survey for CDC... Told them we were crab and bed bug free....Got hungup on.
Called at 8:45pm on a Sunday evening saying they were conducting a study for the CDC and Department of Health. Asked if I lived in a private residence, if I was over 18 and if this was a cell phone number. I hung up the call.
This number 312-529-9717 called me twice, I speak a few languages because of my job, last phone call I received was last night Sun. 07-14-13 at 7:05pm and I answered and spoke in German, I immediately was hung up upon and never heard from these guys since.
Btw, this tactic worked with numerous other scam and telemarketing calls, just a tip to minimize your unwanted phone calls.
Called saying they were conducting a health study for NY....
I was sleeping and someone from 31-525-9717 called and hung up on me. I'm on the Do-Not-Call list, too. Irritating...
