I also am getting numerous calls as late as 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday or as early as 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning. I have never answered the phone because if AT& T really wanted to contact me they would leave a message. I get mutliple calls 3-4 times a day, 7 days a week. I like the idea of answering and walking away from the phone. Maybe I will try recording a fax machine sound and play it back. But why bother answering the phone when you don't recognize the number anyways?
They started calling yesterday. I told the woman to send me the information in the mail and hung up. Since then I've received several more calls that I don't pick up when I see ATT SVC CNTR. I'm the lady who lives in west Tennessee.
ATT should be plenty upset about this one.
I'm getting these calls and I live in west Tennessee.
You really can't do much about this type of call. However, you might be able to get them to stop eventually if you take these steps. The best you can do is waste their time.
When they call, right after they start talking, interrupt them and tell them to please hang on for just a second that someone is at the door. Set the phone down and go about your business for a few minutes. Come back to the phone and if someone is stupid enough to still be holding for you, do it again. Set the phone down and just do something else. Sooner or later they will figure out that you have scammed them by wasting their time. They will stop calling, almost guaranteed. If not, at least you know that you have taken away something from them, their TIME!!!
It came up ATT SVC CNTR on our caller ID but they left no message.
